Friday Night Power Hour
This self-portrait includes some friends who were more then happy to participate in my daily picture. This was our posed group photo for our Friday night Power Hour. What is a power hour you ask? Well Power Hour is defined by Wikipedia as: “… a type of drinking game. Every player drinks a one ounce shot of beer every minute for one hour (60 minutes = 60 ounces of beer, equal to five 12 ounce bottles).” Of course hand-pouring of shots never ends up being exactly 1 ounce so five 12 ounce bottles actually ends up being about 7 or 8. During the 1 hour game, you play music using a pre-created playlist of songs that is programmed to switch songs every minute. So when the song changes, it’s time for another shot of beer. Now this may seem like a simple test at first, especially to those self-proclaimed beer aficionados, but rest assured, this game is not for the faint of heart. Beer is not a very strong alcoholic beverage but after the equivalent of 7 or 8 beers in one hour you are definitely feeling the effects. Needless to say, we were all still standing at the end of our 60 minute binge… barely. I must say, however that it was a ton of fun and a great way to spend some quality time with friends!
